Overview

Kenya is one of Africa’s most exciting countries. There are over 30 game reserves as well as large private ranches teeming with buffalo, elephant, giraffe, rhino, gazelle, wildebeest, big cats and numerous other species. There are lakes lush with flamingos and a myriad of colorful birds – an ornithological paradise.
The Great Rift Valley straddles the heart of the country with its spectacular scenery and silent volcanoes, while the east coast is fringed with the white beaches and marine parks of the Indian Ocean. There are steep mountains (Africa’s highest), deep forests, arid deserts, and turquoise lagoons. The country lies astride the equator, but the climate is pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 12 to 27 °C at the higher altitudes and from 22 to 35 °C at sea level.

Summary

This safari begins and ends in Nairobi. It is for 7 Nights and 8 days. The safari takes you to the central Kenya to the Aberdares National Park, then to the Great Rift Valley where you get to see some of the Rift Valley lakes, Lake Bogoria and Lake Naivasha. You finish your safari with the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve and back to Nairobi for your flight back home.

9 Nights / 10 Days Adventure Safari

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu game reserve

When you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi you will find our driver guide ready to receive you. He will give you a summary of your trip then start your safari through the semi-arid scrub land of the Northern Frontier.
You are expected to arrive in Samburu national park in good time for lunch then check in. In the afternoon, you will embark on an afternoon game drive to sight resident wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue-necked Somali Ostrich that are rare elsewhere in the country.Accommodation on full board basis.
Samburu Game Reserve

Today you will spend the full day in the Samburu Game Reserve. You will take an early morning game drive after breakfast and be back in good time for luch then have the rest of the afternoon at leisure as you enjoy the facilities at the hotel.
You will later take an evening game drive and be back on time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure enjoying the entertainment set by the lodge. Accommodation on full board basis

Day 2:Samburu-Sweetwater’s game reserve

After Breakfast, you will depart from Samburu to Sweet waters Game Reserve. You are expected to arrive in good time for luch at the lodge.
You will have the rest of the day at leisure as you enjoy the facilities offered by the lodge.
Sweetwater’s is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area.

Day 3: Sweet Waters – Lake Bogoria

You will have your breakfast on time then depart for Lake Bogoria game reserve. You are expected to arrive on time for lunch and check in.
After lunch, you will take a walk to the beautiful lake where you will enjoy watching the scenery, the animals and birdlife.
Lake Bogoria is a shallow soda lake set amidst beautiful scenery. Like the other Kenyan soda lakes, it has no outlet and the intense evaporation leads to high levels of salt and minerals, which flamingos love and from a distance the surface of the water appears bright pink. Next to the lake are steaming hot springs and geysers, but don’t be tempted to put your hands into the water if you are at all fond of your skin!
You are expected back to the lodge in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure enjoying the amenities at the lodge including a natural heated swimming pool.Accommodation on Full Board basis.

Day 4: Lake Bogoria- Naivasha

Breakfast at the lodge then depart for Nairobi with enroute game viewing as you leave the lodge, drop off at your Nairobi residence / Airport by 4 pm.

Day 5: Lake Bogoria- Naivasha – Drop off

On this day, we are again visiting another Rift-valley Lake and this in Naivasha. You will depart immediately after breakfast drive to Naivasha town and Down to the Lake. You are expected to arrival at Lake Naivasha Lodge in good time for Lunch.
You will have the rest of the afternoon at leisure where you can choose going on a nature walk, hiring a boat to take you the famous Crescent Island, or simply relaxing and enjoying the amenities at the hotel like the swimming pool.

Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Drop off

Breakfast at the lodge then depart for Nairobi with enroute game viewing as you leave the lodge, drop off at your Nairobi residence / Airport by 4 pm.

Day 7: Naivasha –Maasai Mara

Depart in good time for your safari to the famous Maasai Mara Game reserve. You are expected to arrive in good time for lunch and check in then take an afternoon game drive that will take you till dusk.
Return to the lodge in good time for dinner then have the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 8: Massai Mara

This day, you will take a full day exploring the park in search of the Big 5 and other wild game .Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost.
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. Accommodation on Full Board

Day 9: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Drop off

Breakfast at the lodge then depart for Nairobi with enroute game viewing as you leave the lodge, drop off at your Nairobi residence / Airport by 4 pm.

Day 10: Maasai Mara-Nairobi

After breakfast, you embark on your tour van for your trip back to Nairobi. You are expected to arrive in good time and be transferred to Carnivours for lunch then later a transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
